On Thursday, children in Years 4 & 5 were taken out on the Solent on the University of Southampton’s research vessel as part of a Discover Oceanography day which, you may recall, was their prize for winning a Design for Change competition last year. Despite the rain, the children had a wonderful time exploring sea creatures and taking scientific measurements.
