We are fortunate to have the support of a variety of outside music professionals who assist in our music teaching.
All Year 3/4 children learn the recorder and are regularly encouraged to perform to an audience.
The majority of our lessons are provided by the Dorset Music Service who send specialist teachers for each instrument. This currently involves teaching of strings and woodwind instruments and the school band.
Pupils are offered the opportunity to learn to play an instrument through peripatetic tuition provided by the Dorset Music Service. Piano lessons are provided by Mrs Gardner who is a local instructor who organises her own lessons but teaches in school as well as at her own home.
