Robin Class took a visit to Haynes Motor Museum in Sparkford as part of their topic learning about "Transport". The visit was hugely enjoyed by everyone. Some highlights included the children sitting in a replica of the first motor car built in 1886, looking inside a Lamborghini Contach, sitting inside a Ferrari race car and seeing how many Robins could fit inside a 1959 Cadillac (all of them!) They learned how car design has evolved over time and how cars work. After a super morning spent touring the showroom, the children spent the afternoon busily engaged in a "production-line" exercise, experimenting with the efficiency of building model cars first individually, and then in teams. This was a great exercise to demonstrate the efficiency of mass production and introduce the idea of division of labour.
