Salisbury Cathedral Leavers' service

4th July 2018
Our year 6 leavers spent a day at Salisbury cathedral with other primary schools from the diocese. The day was put on especially for year six children coming to the end of their primary education and moving on to secondary school in September.

Following a welcome by the Canon, the morning was spent taking part in drama and art workshops in the cathedral. The work they produced in these workshops was used as part of the service in the afternoon.

At the end of the day all the children came together on the lawn for a blessing and farewell.
It was a very special day and well worth the journey up to Salisbury.

Our children particularly enjoyed seeing the famous and beautiful font which Rev'd Jo has often referred to as part of her assemblies.
