Harvest Festival in church

9th October 2017
Every year at Salway Ash School we set aside time to celebrate Harvest Festival as a whole school community.
All the children are involved in a service of thanksgiving in the church to which parents are invited.

We find this helps to promote an understanding of where our food comes from, a gratitude for it and compassion towards those for whom food is not so readily available.

School families donate produce which is blessed and distributed amongst food banks and local good causes within our community. This year Mr and Mrs Brown from Salway Ash Church took all the produce to 'Cupboard Love' food bank in Bridport who were very grateful for such a large donation of produce.
