Sponsored circuits

27th April 2018
On Friday 27th April the whole school took part in a sponsored circuits day.
The day was organised by past pupil Connor Townsend in aid of Rainbows hospice and as part of his
Higher Apprentice in Leadership and Management at a major UK bank in Cardiff.

Rainbows Hospice is a charity that works with children and young people who have life limiting conditions.

The challenge consisted of a number of exercises in a circuit layout, individually tailored to each year group to be fun, engaging and somewhat challenging. The children had scorecards to keep track of how many exercises they have done over 30 minutes.

All the children had a really a lot of fun whilst raising money for a very worthwhile cause.

We would like to thank Connor and his friend William who ran the day very efficiently and took care to get every child involved. They were aided by our Bronze ambassadors who helped the children move around the stations.

We wish Connor every success with his future fundraising and career progression.

Dear Parents/Guardians,

I am writing to you to simply express my gratitude for your generosity with regards to donations for the ‘Rainbows Challenge’ on the Friday the 27th of April.

Thanks to your kind donations, and the participation and effort from all of the pupils, we managed to raise £392.90 for Rainbow’s Hospice; money that will go towards palliative care and making sure that the young people who reside at the hospice have the highest quality of life possible.

I also want to thank the sports ambassadors from years 5 and 6, who went above and beyond what was expected of them, and did a fantastic job making sure that the activities ran smoothly.

Kind regards and best wishes,

Connor Townsend.
